Abstract
The presented work deals with practical application of fuzzy sets to the identification of 'vehicle tyre?ground' interaction parameters. This task requires the adaptation of fuzzy object description both to low- and high-dynamic characteristics of driving environment. As a consequence, the identifying system should possess features of the short-term and long-term forecasting ability. To ensure adaptive and forecasting properties outlined, a tool for the alteration of fuzzy object description is proposed. These issues are being considered as applied to tyre friction factors, which are key parameters for active safety control systems of ground vehicles.
