Abstract

The future growth of nuclear power is dependent on an assured supply of uranium at reasonable prices; but uranium producers, when making their own plants, are uncomfortably aware of major uncertainties in future projections of demand from electrical utilities. Having examined these uncertainties, and also those connected with uranium exploration and production, the author concludes that uranium supply is not likely to hold up the development of nuclear power, at least over the next quarter of a century.
