Abstract

A critical aspect for any wired or wireless communication is privacy and security. Many security issues often occur with it through the development of the intelligent transportation system. This paper addresses the different kinds of security and privacy issues faced in the VANET setting of the next generation and the basic solution for both security and privacy issues is also presented. As the most common and useful solution for security problems, PKI is discussed. As a solution to privacy problems in the VANET network, a group-signature-based algorithm is presented. There is also discussion of intense research areas in future trends of security and privacy in next generation VANET that are available for all researchers to contribute.
