Abstract
Within this editorial, I provide my view of significant areas of future concern which can and need to be addressed aggressively by members of the behavioral science community. I identify a number of specific areas which need significant input but may require the traditional community to reach beyond its comfort zone in addressing these difficult and sometimes messy challenges. These areas include: failed nation states, internal separatist movements, immigration issues, cyberterrorism, lone wolf terrorism, single issue extremist groups, nuclear weapons spread, electromagnetic pulse risk, environmental terrorism, network‐sponsored violence, financial disruption and privacy issues.
