Abstract

This article introduces the monograph on Future Moves. It discusses sociology’s re-emerging concern for the future and the general approach on which the contributors converge despite diverse theoretical provenances, thematic focuses, and social settings. It explains how the studies in this publication contribute to the strengthening of a future-oriented sociology and studies of culture, society, and technology.
