Abstract

ABSTRACTFuture Leaders to Watch is a series of interviews with the first authors of a selection of papers published in Biology Open, helping early-career researchers promote themselves alongside their papers. Andrea Paterlini is author of ‘Uncharted routes: exploring the relevance of auxin movement via plasmodesmata’, published in BiO. Andrea is a PhD student in the groups of Yka Helariutta and Ottoline Leyser at the Sainsbury Laboratory, University of Cambridge, investigating the structure, function and regulation of plasmodesmata, the small pores that connect plant cells.
