Abstract
The Financial Accounting Standards Board (FASB) is trying to bring U.S. GAAP in harmony with International Accounting Standards. Toward that end, the FASB has several projects that it is tackling, notably accounting for stock compensation, business combinations, and revenue recognition. The resulting new rules will clearly affect not only how companies report their financial conditions but also how analysts value companies.
