Abstract

The road accidents are taking place due to the road environment and road types, climate, vehicles, and age and gender of the person involved. Artificial Intelligence (AI) can detect the patterns of unsafe driving of vehicles in the road for prediction of hazardous road accidents. Given AI can be very helpful in the detection and prediction of unsafe driving and crash, the machine learning process was used to collect data from previous accident records. Based on the data collected, a graphical report was generated using the Naïve Bayes algorithm. With the need to understand why road accidents happen and overcome these accidents from happening, some data mining techniques like Apriori algorithm, Naïve Bayes algorithm and strong association rules were used. The main motivation of this chapter is to create the statistical report of accidents and its reason in a graphical representation. Software tools like Jupyter, Python, HTML and CSS are used to predict the road accidents. The country which has the second largest road network in our world is India, and having the second largest road network, she holds the main place in accidents too.
