Back Cover: In article number 2100712 by Ivan Ivanov and co-workers, a functionalized dimethicone, commercially used as emulsifier in cosmetics, self-assembles into vesicles and even provides a suitable environment for membrane proteins. Upon vigorous agitation in the presence of physiological concentrations of salt, these vesicles continuously fuse to reach micrometer dimensions, taking up biopolymers and nucleotides along the way, which provides a facile procedure for the preparation of cellular mimics.
