Abstract

Experimental evaporation residue excitation functions are presented for $^{58}\mathrm{Ni}$ projectiles on $^{62}\mathrm{Ni}$ targets. These data are analyzed for fusion radii and for the nucleus-nucleus potential at the fusion barrier. The results are compared with predictions of three potential models.NUCLEAR REACTIONS Measured evaporation residue excitation function $^{58}\mathrm{Ni}$+$^{62}\mathrm{Ni}$, ${E}_{\mathrm{lab}} 215\ensuremath{-}275$ MeV. Deduced fusion barrier and radius.
