Abstract
If ultrasonography is the first intention exam in the evaluation of fetal cerebral structures, MR is the second intention exam the indications of which are well defined. Both techniques are complementary but still independent and the retrospective synthesis of these exams allows optimal analysis of fetal cerebral anomalies. Real time virtual sonography can synchronize a sonographic image and MRI multiplanar image of the same section in real time. This technique can be performed in the evaluation of fetal cerebral structures and synchrone recognition of anatomic structures has many advantages and especially on the pedagogic plan. However, this technique is currently limited to the research area.
