Fused Deep Learning for Distributed Denial of Service Attack Detection in IoT

Abstract

Over the past few years, the number of network attacks has significantly increased. Security and privacy are critical while storing and transmitting data from the internet. Several methods exist in literature for detecting and preventing intrusions into network security. This problem further gets complicated in Internet of Things (IoT) where we have different types of devices are connected to Internet. These devices differ a lot in communications and data exchange techniques. In literature many techniques have evolved to detect Denial of Service (DoS) attack in Internet. But very less work has been carried out on detection of DoS on IoT. In this chapter we have applied Deep Learning based approach for detection of Distributed DoS in IoT based network. Proposed approach has been implemented in Matlab and Results obtained are encouraging.
