The causal fungus isolated from the black leaf spot on D. phalaenopsis was identified as Fusarium moniliforme based on the mycological characteristics and pathogenicity. The fungus also caused same symptoms on leaves of Phalaenopsis sp. and Cymbidium sp. as well sa D. phalaenopsis by wound inoculation.
