Abstract

Addressed in this paper is the stability of discrete-time linear systems with time-varying delays. The basic idea is to convert the stability of the original system to that of an equivalent switched system. It is show that this approach can provide an stability criterion which is less conservative than the reported results. In particular, when delay only takes some values in a set consisted of a series of inconsecutive natural numbers, this approach is more effective.
