Abstract

This chapter explores norms that have been proposed to supplement or replace the five core Bayesian rules. It begins by discussing the distinction between Subjective and Objective Bayesianism. Then it covers deference principles (including the Principal Principle, expert principles, and the Reflection Principle), the Principle of Indifference, maximum entropy, Countable Additivity, and Jeffrey Conditionalization.
