Abstract
The measures taken by the Metropolitan Police in London to improve the conduct of investigations of allegations of rape are described. Considerable changes have been made as the result of recommendations by a top-level Working Party concerned to improve both efficiency and sensitivity to the difficulties experienced by victims.
