Abstract
Abstract Five compartments of Coronula diadema (Linnaeus) are recorded from Nukumaruan (Pleistocene) rocks in South Wairarapa and North Canterbury. A complete compartment of Coronula aotea Fleming, from Mangaotoro River, Dannevirke (Mangapanian, Pliocene) shows that the species is more closely related to the living C. reginae Darwin than to C. diadema.
