Abstract

The following 9 compounds gave > 84% control of cattle grubs, Hypoderma spp., in cattle: BAY 42688 ( O -(dimethylamino) phenyl methylcarbamate), 5 mg/kg oral and 0.25% spray; CELA K-159 (O-(4-bromo-2,5-dichlorophenyl) O -propyl methylphosphonothioate), 5 mg/kg oral; CIBA C-8874 ( O -(2,5-dichloro-4-iodophenyl) O, O -diethyl phosphorothioate), 50 mg/kg oral; ClBA C-9491 ( O -(2,5-dichloro-4-iodophenyl) O, O -dimethyl phosphorothioate), 100 mg/kg oral; ClBA C-11044 ( O -(2,5-dichloro-4-iodophenyl) O -ethyl O -methyl phosphorothioate), 50 mg/kg oral; Hercules 13462 ( O, O -dimethyl phosphorodithioate S -ester with N -(l-mercaptoethyl) succinimide), 0.25% spray; Hercules 14469 ( m -cumenyl (mercaptoacetyl) methylcarbamate S -ester with O, O -dimethyl phosphorodithioate), 50 mg/kg oral; Hercules 17200 (o-tolyl (mercaptoacetyl) methylcarbamate S-ester with O,O-dimethyl phosphorodithioate). 75 rug/kg oral; and Shell SD-12211 ( O, O -dimethyl phosphorothioate O -ester with N -benzyl-4-hydroxyphthalimide), 100 mg/kg oral.
