Abstract
O presente trabalho introduz o estudo da função de Perrin no conjunto dos números reais, p : R −→ R, tal que x ∈ R, p(x + 3) = p(x + 1) + p(x). Assim, de posse da sua recorrência e definição, são trabalhados alguns teoremas e proposições matemáticas. Dessa forma, realiza-se uma evolução matemática em torno dos números dessa sequência, destacando o estudo da sua respectiva função de Perrin com o número plástico, assim como acontece na sequência de Padovan.
