Abstract

This paper records fossil fungi from palynologically dated Early Cretaceous Intertrappean Beds of the Rajmahal Basin, Bihar, India. They include microthyriaceous remains, spores and hyphae. One new species, Dendromyceliates rajmahalensis, is reported which bears conidia. The fungal remains suggest that the climate was warm and humid during the deposition of the intertrappean beds.
