Abstract

This paper examined the impact of government public expenditure on education and the effect of special funding in enhancing the delivery of public library services in Nigeria. secondary data were collected from the websites of the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) and Education Trust Fund (ETF.). Results from the regression analysis showed that while public funding had a positive effect on the overall performance of the educational system, improving the quality of service delivery in public library services, would require continued and sustained efforts in attracting special/ intervention funds to address the resource gap in Nigerian public libraries.
