Abstract

AbstractIn this paper the linear theory of the elastostatics of the homogeneous and isotropic bodies with microstructure having a symmetric stress tensor is considered. The matrix of fundamental solutions ℐ(x, y) of the operator A(∂/∂x) governing this theory is deduced. The stress operator ℐ(∂/∂x, n(x)) is introduced and the expression of the matrix ℐ(∂/∂x, n(x)) Γ(x, y) is given. Finally, some properties of the matrix λ(x, y) = t(ℐ(∂/∂y, n(y)) ℐ(y, x) are given.
