Abstract
The coilgun accelerates a projectile by the magnetic force produced from a current-carrying coil and the various applications of it are possible. The power supply and coil design significantly affect the characteristics of coilgun. We investigate the energy conversion efficiency estimated by the velocity of projectile when the power supply and coil design are changed. Some simple calculations are also performed.
