Abstract

A facile approach for synthesizing transparent and luminescent nanocomposites had been carried out by introducing epoxy group functionalized oleic acid (C18-epoxy) at the interface. The C18-epoxy could self-assemble with carbon chain of ligand and formed epoxy group functionalized QDs (QDs@epoxy). Therefore, QDs@epoxy had similar polar with epoxy matrix, and could homogenously disperse in nanocomposites. Compared with original ones, QDs@epoxy/epoxy nanocomposites exhibited almost four times transparence and twice luminescence. Furthermore, color rendering index, correlated color temperature and (x, y) of white LED, which was fabricated by nanocomposites (yellow light emitting) encapsulated InGaN chip, were 65, 5260K and (x=0.3381, y=0.3459), respectively.
