Abstract
Sustainability is the trend and the discussion on fluorine-free water-repellent products for functional textiles is not new. But until now, a satisfactory implementation has often failed because of the lower performance of fluorine-free products, especially after washing, as demonstrated by a recent test series by Stiftung Warentest, Berlin/Germany.
