Abstract

An experience is described of repair of sixty-three ureters in forty-three children in the last ten years. Results have proved quite satisfactory from the standpoint of control of urinary infection, restoration of renal function, and clinical well being of the children. Many children who are presently being treated by temporary or permanent urinary diversion would be satisfactory candidates for a direct operative repair, despite advanced upper tract decompensation.
