Abstract

Abstract Date Presented 04/02/2022 This poster presents a case study of 56 year-old woman with weak wrist extension 2.5 years after subcortical ischemic stroke who participated in an extensor carpi radialis (ECR) motor evoked potential (MEP) operant conditioning training study. The participant increased maximum voluntary contraction in the ECR and improved Box and Block Test and Fugl-Meyer upper extremity (UE) scores. This could indicate that MEP operant conditioning is a viable means of improving UE function in individuals poststroke. Primary Author and Speaker: Blair H. S. Dellenbach Contributing Authors: Bridgette Pouliot, Jinsook Roh, Aiko K. Thompson
