Abstract
The article discusses modern ideas about the genesis of the most common variants of functional gastrointestinal disorders (FGID) in infants, and their ability to lead to long-term negative consequences for the health of the child. The article provides data on role of intestinal microbiota in development of FGID in infants and current approaches to prevention and correction using probiotics with proven effectiveness.

В последние годы не только в отечественной, но и в зарубежной литературе появляется все больше данных о том, что длительное течение ФРОП может обусловливать структурные нарушения в органах желудочно-кишечного тракта, а также оказывать негативное влияние на состояние будущего здоровья в целом. В работе отечественных авторов [7] была показана связь младенческих колик в первые месяцы жизни с развитием синдрома раздраженного кишечника в возрасте старше 10 лет.
