Abstract

This paper presents a functional description of a special purpose processor for achieving orders of magnitude reduction in run time in Computation Electromagnetics (CEM). Though the intention is not to exclude the integral equation based approaches such as Method of Moments (MoM), the resulting design seems to suggest that it is more applicable to differential equation based solutions such as Finite Elements Method (FEM). What is presented here is the theoretical architecture of the processor, which is the middle section of a three legged process. The first and the last stages of the process are still missing: (1) The numerical algorithm for discretizing the Maxwell's equations and (2) the manufacturing of the processor, which the author hopes will be taken up by others.
