Abstract

Introduction: Achilles tendinopathy is a common and painful musculoskeletal condition that can be further sub-grouped as insertional (IAT) or mid-portion (MPAT). Key differences exist between IAT and MPAT, including aetiology, prognosis, and recommended management. Whether there are differences in plantarflexor neuromuscular function among people with IAT and MPAT is not known. The aim of this study was to compare plantarflexor neuromuscular function in individuals with IAT and MPAT.
