Abstract

Inferior colliculus (IC) is an important relay station in the auditory pathway, and plays an important role in acoustic source localization,analysis of temporal,frequency and sound intensity, dysfunctions of which are pathogenesis of Central Auditory Processing Disorder (CAPD). This article will focus on the auditory function and mechanism of IC, which is related to the pathogenesis of CAPD.
