Abstract

Enrichment is loosely defined as a dynamic process for enhancing an animalenvironment within the context of the animals’ behavioral biology and naturalhistory. This article will explore how to reduce stress in wildlife in a rehabilitativesetting, including the benefits of enrichment (on a both a cognitive andphysiologic level), variable types of enrichment with practical examples, andhow this can be easily and inexpensively incorporated into any operation.
