Abstract

The properties of a microstrip-slot coupled line on uniaxial anisotropic substrates are analyzed using the full-wave modal analysis method. The computational method presented in this paper is general in nature, and can be applied to unilateral finline structures and suspended substrate lines by changing the width of the strip or slot. The numerical results for the frequency-dependent effective dielectric constant for the dominant and higher order strip mode and slot mode of a microstrip-slot coupled line on uniaxial anisotropic dielectric substrates are presented. © 2000 John Wiley & Sons, Inc.
