Abstract

Ash and slag waste are a major source of raw materials for various industries. In this work, we studied the possibility of the fractionation of coal-fired power plant ash and slag waste. The fractionation was carried out by the flotation to separate the aluminosilicate and carbon concentrate. The magnetic separation was used for isolation of iron oxide. The composition of the ash and slag as well as the fractions obtained was studied. Moreover, the morphology of the concentrate was investigated.
