Abstract
This chapter examines the belief that Christianity is the fulfillment of Christian and non-Christian religious traditions. It analyzes the relation between Greek religious history and Christianity and suggests that the proven capacity of Christians to integrate both Greek virtue and Jewish obedience into a Christian way may be considered to be the fulfillment of what was proclaimed in the Gospel. This chapter also argues that the relation between Greek wisdom and Christian faith is very different from the relation between Christian faith and the Jewish religion.
