Abstract

From 1978 to 1981 the Colorado State University Libraries received Higher Education Act Title II-C funding to catalog federal government publications in its collection that had not been indexed in the Monthly Catalog of United States Government Publications. Techniques and sources for acquiring such materials are described. Staffing, cataloging standards, and cataloging problems are discussed and accompanied by statistics on authority record creation. Access to cataloging records through national data bases and, in particular, through a COM catalog is described.
