Abstract
This article considers the sources that appear in the Filāḥa fārisiyya , a work attributed to Cassianus Bassus Scholasticus, which has never been published in Arabic. We focus on two manuscripts: number 540 in the Bibliotheca Universitatis Leidensis and the Selden Superius 21 in the Bodleian Library. The content of both is briefly analysed and, following a detailed study of the different authors, we discuss the transmission of this treatise on agronomy to al-Andalus, mainly through the work of the agronomist Ibn al-‘Awwām. Finally, by way of conclusion, a number of questions are raised in relation to this study and certain problematic aspects of these sources of information are discussed

Entre los agrónomos bizantinos de mayor fama y difusión, se halla Casiano Baso Escolástico, autor del siglo VI d.C., quien escribió la obra titulada Peri georgías eklogaí basándose en los tratados. JULIA M.a CARABAZA Y EXPIRACIÓN GARCÍA agronómicos de Dídimo de Alejandría Baso y nos ha llegado parte del original griego a través de una obra de recopilación del siglo X titulada Geoponica 1. Dicho original llegó a la cultura árabe gracias a una traducción intermedia al pahlevi 2, con el título Warz-nmah, la cual se tradujo al árabe con diversos títulos de los que hablaremos a continuación. De esta última traducción árabe partieron otras versiones 3 con los títulos de al-Fila al-r%miyya 4 y al-Fila aly%nniyya 5
