Abstract

With the increasing scale of the distribution network, the monitoring terminal equipment in the distribution network has gradually increased. The feeder automation terminal (FTU) mainly monitors the 10 kV switch on the column and completes the functions of telemetry, remote signaling, remote control, and fault detection. Among them, temperature is an important measurement for FTU operation and maintenance, but it is often difficult to determine its threshold. This paper proposes a method to realize the intelligent operation and maintenance of the FTU control box by using the ring law with the site temperature as characteristic quantities. First, analyze the correlation between the current ambient temperature and the FTU contact temperature of the connected measuring point, the system operating state and the fault location, and the correlation between these temperature differences and the fault type. Then, by extracting fault features, the ring law classification method based on real-time data and historical data realizes the judgment of system operation status. The results show that the ring law model based on the correlation between the temperature of the FTU control box and the fault has a high classification accuracy, and can accurately distinguish the fault status based on the data correlation. In addition, this method does not need to manually set the temperature threshold.
