Abstract

Scutellaria baicalensis geogi , the Chinese herb which is widely used by people. Its root can be used to bring down a fever and anti-inflammation . the active compound of Scutellaria baicalensis geogi are baicalin 、baicalein and wagonin. Scholars have gained the quantitative and qualitative determination of these active components by various analytic methods (such as HPLC、HSCCC、 CE and MEKC ) but FTIR In this research, FTIR is used to quantitate the extract of Scutellaria baicalensis geogi and try to find the linear relationship between absorption peak (peak height and peak area) and the dose of Scutellaria baicalensis geogi extract. The research shows obvious linear relationship between dose of Scutellaria baicalensis geogi and absorption peak area of the band (1687.31~1635.77 cm-1 ). It is 0.9229 to get R2. Another analyze the same crest the whole area to HPLC resulting Baicalein content make regression analyze, it is 0.9166 to get R2, proves that has linear relations, it returns to equation preface Y=9.0315X-7.348 Then bring the total area of the infrared aborption peak of the extraction liquid of the commercial product into the return equation preface described above, get the active composition content, And then measure the active composition Baicalein content of the Scutellaria baicalensis geogi of extracting the liquid with HPLC in fact to make and contrast and calculate accuracy , The result is that Baicalein content of 0.08g commercial product (3.06~2.43mg/mL )analyses Baicalein content (5.04~1.86mg/mL )that should extract the liquid with HPLC and compares incomes Accuracy 133~60%. This research reveals that uses FTIR to make a quantitative analysis and have certain accuracy and linear relation.
