Abstract

Introduction: Fat accumulation in the liver is associated with metabolic syndrome; and through NASH, it could progress to hepatic cirrhosis and carcinoma. Since lipocalin-2 (LCN2) synthesis in the liver is influenced by inflammatory and metabolic processes, we aimed to examine LCN2 expression in two rat models of diet-induced fatty liver.
