FROZEN: LA LECTURA DE “LA REINA DE LAS NIEVES” EN EL SIGLO XXI

Abstract

From the fairy tale “The Snow Queen,” the Disney factory has created the animated lm Frozen.The lm offers a reinterpretation of Hans Christian Andersen’s text from an absolutely contemporary perspective: for example, the treatment received by the so-called “gender princesses” underlines the increasingly prevalent role of women in society, while also dealing with issues of climate change. The lm includes as well several important educational tools, such as introducing children to cultural aspects of Nordic mythology, like the typical wooden churches found in Scandinavian latitudes, or famous paintings of the History of Art, among other aspects.
