Abstract

Mucoceles arising from the sinuses usually present with proptosis and displacement of the globe. Posterior orbital invasion can occasionally present with ophthalmoplegia or ptosis. This communication discusses an unusual presentation of a fronto-ethmoid mucocele presenting as a fistula in the upper lid. The diagnosis was based upon the computerised tomographic scan of the paranasal sinuses. The patient subsequently underwent surgical excision of the mass, which relieved his symptoms.
