Abstract

Rapid ion transport behaviours commonly identified in biological systems have inspired the promotion of electrochemical ion storage capability in rechargeable batteries. In their Review (DOI: 10.1002/chem.202103938), Z. Sun and co-workers critically review and summarize recent progress on the ion transport properties in solid and liquid crystals, which offers new guidelines for the rational design of electrode materials and electrolytes in batteries.
