Abstract

Parkinson's disease (PD) patients susceptible to visual hallucinations experience prodromal events in the form of ‘pareidolias’. Pareidolias are visual phenomena wherein ambiguous forms appear meaningful due to incorrect perception. Here, we studied the brain and behavioral signatures of pareidolias that affects the fronto-parietal circuitry influencing visual processing.
