Abstract

The anomalies in the conversion factor observed by Malinek (1), when applying the Constant Temperature D.C. Arc Method of Addink (2), may be explained by two factors associated with the use of front faced aluminum mirrors. These are the reduction in reflectivity of the mirror at shorter wavelengths, and deterioration of the mirror surface.
