Abstract
The Front Cover describes the collective motion transformations of the active-gel-induced step changes of control parameters (light intensity in this case), inspired by biological populations. Such sudden changes of systematic or environmental parameters are also widely present in nature, such as the multimodal motions of fish schools induced by predator hunting.
