Abstract

The Front Cover illustrates the use of a Gd(III)-Pt(II) theranostic MRI contrast agent for imaging Pt drug accumulation differences in tumors. Decreased drug accumulation is a hallmark of chemoresistance and is therefore used here as a proxy for Pt resistance. Coupling a Gd(III) contrast agent to a Pt(II) therapeutic enables visualization of drug accumulation by MRI. This, in turn, has the potential to provide crucial information about the chemoresistant state of a tumor. Cover design by Tom Goulet. More information can be found in the Full Paper by Casey J. Adams and Thomas J. Meade.
