Abstract
The cover picture shows a rotating laser wheel of different colors. The three planar rotational isomers of fumaryl fluoride (trans-trans, cis-cis and cis-trans) are placed on a blue circle of light in the picture. The arrows illustrate the intramolecular rotation of fumaryl fluoride, also exemplified by the spinning laser wheel. The molecular structure and the conformational composition of fumaryl fluoride were determined by low-temperature vibrational spectroscopy and single-crystal X-ray structure analysis. More details can be found in the article by Marie C. Bayer, Christoph Jessen, and Andreas J. Kornath on page 258.
