Abstract

The Front Cover shows how functional norbornadienes can be made from cyclopentadiene dimer directly in a single step two reaction conversion. Molecular photo-switches can be used to store solar energy, but for larger scale testing, a practical synthesis route was needed. The developed flow chemistry route thus avoids the need for time consuming cracking of the cyclopentadiene dimer.
