Abstract

The Front Cover establishes an analogy between a metal music concert and the catalytic hydroformylation reaction. It shows a drummer, who represents the reusable metal catalyst performing a concert (the hydroformylation reaction) under the flag of Green Chemistry. The drum components symbolize the reagents (olefin, carbon monoxide, and hydrogen) that are mixed together to produce aldehydes as a musical sound. The joyful audience represents the main value-added products (amines, acetals, and alcohols), which can be obtained from this sustainable chemical transformation. More information can be found in the Review by F. M. S. Rodrigues, R. M. B. Carrilho, and M. M. Pereira.
